This trendy tote bag with its ethnic print is a tribute to Moroccan Berber women. Young designer talent Leila Billon was inspired by the graphical and colourful elements in the clothing of the Jbela women (also known as Jbelita). The word Jbela is derived from "Jbel" meaning mountain in Arabic, so literally the Jbela are mountain people. Typical for the women are the cloths with red and white stripes around the waste, known as "fouta" and the big straw hats with colourful pompons known as "taraza".
